Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS)

SVIMS is one of the reputed medical institution and a part of dedicated services of Tirupati tirumala Devasthanams to the mankind.

The purpose of SVIMS is to provide the most Advanced medical technology to the needy.

It was started in the year 1986 in the lines of AIIMS new Delhi. Late Shri N.T. Ramarao (The Hon'ble CM of Andhrapradesh ) laid foundation stone on 18th April 1986. It was established for providing Super speciality health facilities to poor people at very nominal Cost.

SVIMS hospital started functioning from 26 February 1993 under the act of A.P state Legislature.

This institution, in 1995 became UNIVERSITY.

As on date, Presently, First ever Women director cum Vice chancellor Dr. B. Vengamma took over charge as Director cum vice chancellor of SVIMS on 30-08-2019.
